Caregiver / Support Worker – Complex Care
Location: Troon, Scotland.
Job Type: Various Contract Types Available.
Salary: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour.

About the Role:
The person we are supporting has been rehabilitated following a road traffic accident and is ready to be discharged from hospital back into the family home.
They are living with a spinal injury, is now paraplegic and needs assistance with all aspects of daily living. The family home has been fully adapted to accommodate a wheelchair, hoist and any additional equipment required.
Their care needs include: all aspects of personal care, moving and handling, assistance with outings and socialising.
You will be joining a new care team that is being set up specifically to provide all needs in regards to providing a high quality support package. All training will be provided with regular supervision, team meetings and ongoing training as needed.
Hourly rates range from £13.50/hr to £14.00/hr with holiday pay paid at 12.07% on top of hourly rate, payroll runs weekly.
12 hour shifts available. We are looking for Caregivers / Support Workers who are able to commit to 12, 24, 36 or 48 hours per week.
Complex Care Main Responsibilities:
• 24/7 provision of care for service users living with catastophic injury
• Providing personal care; washing, dressing, food preparation, shopping, hospital visits, activities, moving and handling, medication administration and more!
• Moving and handling
• Identifying needs and assisting with these
• Improve the service user's quality of life, and promote independence
Complex Care Requirements / Skills:
• Previous complex care experience required
• Warm, friendly, and motivated individual
• Excellent observation skills
• A kind, considerate person required with a great sense of fun and outgoing personality
• Have a team player attitude while showing empathy and understanding in demanding situations
• Fantastic communication skills
• Commitment to providing the highest quality care
• A UK driver's license and access to a car is essential
• You will be part of a small but dedicated team, therefore, you must have a team player attitude while showing empathy and understanding but also be confident enough to work well on your own
• SVQ Level 2/3 desirable
