Location: Home based, covering London and South East

Unitrunk Ltd is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of steel cable management systems with distribution centres throughout the UK.
We are currently seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager to operate in the London and South East region.
Business Development Manager – The Role:
This role operates predominantly in the Project market sector, however, given the nature of the wider market within which the business operates, there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to also be able to competently and effectively offer support and guidance within the full range of the business’s targeted products and scope.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Develop specification opportunities for the full Unitrunk Group product portfolio within your assigned accounts.
• Work with the Group Projects Director and other Senior Commercial Team Managers to devise and implement the company’s sales strategy within your assigned accounts.
• Increase business opportunities by developing new accounts in existing and new segments.
Business Development Manager – The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be:
• Educated to Degree level or has shown an equivalent level of structured self-development and process knowledge that relates to the role requirements.
• Extensive experience of developing new business opportunities in the UK building services, construction and mechanical and electrical marketplace.
• Previous experience of working in a similar role within the designated region.
• Experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Developed list of contacts and relationships amongst Tier 1 mechanical and electrical contractors in the London region.
• Experience of developing key accounts.
• Experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Experience of working within a technical environment or the ability to demonstrate an understanding of technical issues and presenting technical and commercial content to customers and prospects would also be desirable
• Flexible to travel for group meetings and trade shows and to relevant depot locations
